Wolcott - Mrs. Iona Jandreau, 85, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Vitas Hospice in St. Marys Hospital surrounded by her loving family and dog Bella. She was the loving wife of the late Roger Jandreau. Iona was born on Oct. 3, 1930 in St. Francis, Maine, daughter of the late William and Amanda (McPherson) Pelletier. Iona married the love of her life and started her family in Maine before moving to CT. She enjoyed being with family and friends. She also enjoyed country music and dancing. She had a great sense of humor and always loved a good joke or two. She worked at Ferrule Manufacturing until her retirement. Iona is survived by her daughter Judy Jandreau and Holly Babcock with whom she made her home with, of Wolcott; two sons, Andrew Jandreau and his wife Linda of Waterbury, and Roger K. Jandreau of Oakville; her sisters, Viola and her husband Patrick Plourde, and Diane "Babe" and her husband Bob Jandreau, both of Maine; four granddaughters, Jennifer LaForme and her fianc Jason Hultgren of Ansonia, Dana Jandreau, Melissa Jandreau, Jennifer Churchelow, all of Waterbury; two great grandsons, Jeffrey Pashko and Hunter Irwin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Paul Jandreau; sisters, Irene, Geneva, Eula, Rita, Laurine, Margaret, Patricia, Mary Lou, and Barbara; brothers, Stellman, George, Alphie, Eldrick, Leon, Omer and John. Family and friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott on Wednesday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road, Wolcott at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
