WOLCOTT ~ Helen (Shepard) Cronin, 81 of Wolcott passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Cheshire House. She was the widow of Timothy Cronin, Jr. Helen was born October 7, 1931 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie (Elder) Shepard, Sr. She retired in 1994 from Airpax in Cheshire after 27 years of service and she attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Wolcott. She leaves her daughters, Helen Kizis and her husband, Dennis of Waterbury and Sharon Auger and her husband, Jack of Wolcott, her son, Timothy Cronin, III and his wife Kelly of Prospect, her brothers, Howard Shepard of Prospect, James Shepard of Watertown, and David Shepard of Wolcott, her sister, Barbara Campagna of Wolcott, her grandchildren, Jennifer Calabrese, Michelle Boscarino, Dennis Kizis, Jr., Sean Auger, Timothy Cronin, IV, Adam Cronin, Mary Brady Cronin, Patrick and Shay Cronin, her great granddaughters, twins, Hailey and Olivia Kizis and Taylor Boscarino, and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday at 10 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, followed by burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Helens family would like to thank Dr. Giacomazzi and the wonderful staff at Cheshire House for their care and compassion.
