H. JAMES FITZGERALD
WOLCOTT ~ H. James Fitzgerald, 73, of Wolcott passed away at home on Monday, March 15th. He was the husband of Sandra (Suller) Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born September 19, 1936 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Evelyn (Levasseur) Fitzgerald. He was a graduate of New Haven College and received a B.S. in Engineering and had been employed as a manufacturing engineer for various local companies. James served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and received the Good Conduct Medal and the Cold War Victory Commemorative Medal. He had a passion for fishing, photography and vintage aircraft. James and Sandy enjoyed traveling to the National Parks in the U.S.
Beside his wife Sandy of 16 years, he leaves his son, Col. Jay Fitzgerald of Harrisburg, PA, his stepsons, Glenn Celentano of Derby and Scott Dimenstein of Woodbridge, his grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Victoria, Zachary and Joshua and his longtime neighbors and fishing buddy, John Macdonald and his wife, Linda.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 20th at the Fitzgerald residence, 326 Todd Rd., Wolcott from 2 to 5 pm.
