Obituary

Wolcott - Gregg R. Byram, 53, affectionately known as Guss by his many friends, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with his loving family present on February 21, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford. A lifelong resident of Wolcott, he was born in Waterbury, the son of Ronald and Carolyn Fabas Byram of Florida, formerly of Wolcott. He is survived by his loving wife Mari-Jo (Combs) and his daughters Lilly Byram, Cheyenne and Leah Olmstead; his brothers Gary (Michelle), Glenn (Peggy), Gerald, his brother in law Michael Gizzie and his sisters Barbara (Kevin) Squires, Brenda (Michael) Rinaldi and Beth (Frank) Healey; father in law John Combs of Maine, sister in law Laura Perugini and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was pre-deceased by his sister Beverly Gizzie, niece Cynthia Byram DeLeo, and mother and father in law Cherie and Sal Perugini. He spent many years in construction and was currently employed by Blast All Incorporated as a union bridge painter. Guss enjoyed being outdoors riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and motorcycles. One of his greatest joys in life was playing with kids as a brother, uncle, and especially a dear loving father. His willingness and desire to help others in need is a testament to his loving heart and soul. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8PM at Woodtick Memorial located at 420 Woodtick Road in Wolcott. A service will be held Tuesday at 3PM at All Saints Episcopal Church located at 282 Boundline Road, Wolcott.
