GERTRUDE "GERTIE" JUNEAU WATERBURY ~ Gertrude "Gertie" Juneau, 92, of Waterbury passed away on Tuesday, November 3rd at Rosegarden Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Marcel Juneau. Mrs. Juneau was born February 22, 1917 in St. Albans, VT, daughter of the late Emile and Marie Anne (Menard) Bombardier. She retired from Sherwood Medical Co. after 10 years of service. Gertrude was very involved in the "Born Again Ministries" and conducted Prayer Groups at St. Peter and Pauls Church and other churches in the Waterbury area. She attended St. Michaels Church. She leaves her sister, Cecile Albert of Chandler, AZ, her nieces Priscilla Galvin and her husband, Patrick of Wolcott and Elaine Megrew and her husband, Michael of Charlestown, RI, several nieces and nephews, 6 grand nephews and nieces, and 9 great grandnephews and nieces. . The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosegarden Health and Rehabilitation Center. They gave Gertie their loving care when she needed it the most. Also, they would like to thank Vitas for their care and support in the last year. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Michaels Church for a funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O. Box 1612, Waterbury, CT 06721.
