Palm Harbor, FL ~ Germaine (Rousseau) Descoteaux, 94, of Palm Harbor, Fl, formerly of Waterbury and Torrington, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2013, surrounded by loving family. Born in 1919 to Albert and Beatrice (Beaulieu) Rousseau in Waterbury, Germaine is predeceased by her husband Henry Descoteaux and her son Richard, her brothers Roger and Raymond Rousseau and her sister Jeanne dArc Czaplicki. She is survived by her sister Hazel Kidulas and seven children; Albert(Nikki), Paula Kelly, Robert(Diane),Susan(Frank) Hudak, Michele(Michael) Forte, Janet(Gary) DeAngelo, and Lisa Descoteaux. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 31 great and great-great grandchildren. Geri, as she was affectionately called, was an avid golfer, card player and church communicant. Her family was the center of her life.To them she was the embodiment of unconditional love, elegance, caring and strength. Rest in peace, Geri. You have lived an exceptional life. Your loving example will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8th at 8:45 from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to the Shrine of St. Anne for a funeral mass at 10 am officiated by a cousin, Rev. Robert Rousseau. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery where Geri will be interred next to her beloved husband. Family and friends are asked to gather and pay respects on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to AutismSpeaks.org and/or MDA.org.
