Waterbury - Mr. Gerard J. Bisson, 94, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2015 at Abbott Terrace Healthcare. Gerard was born on August 22, 1920 in Grande Riviere, Gaspe, Quebec, Canada, son of the late Joseph and Marie (Moreau) Bisson. He was a retired employee of Uniroyal, a communicant of the Shrine of St. Anne and a longtime member of the Franco-American Social Club. He is survived by his nieces and nephew, Lena Moreau, Leopold Bisson, Georgette Bisson, and Patricia Bisson; his longtime companion, Rose Robert; grand nieces and nephews, Richard Bisson (Maria), Lynn Decarlo (Vinnie), Michael Bisson (Rachel), and Linda Morgante (Steven); friends, John, Katie and Brendan Robert. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Annes, 515 S. Main St., Waterbury. Prayers of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Gerards name to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
