It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald S. Guerrette who passed away in his Derby, CT home on April 17th 2026. Gerald was born on Aug. 18th 1966 in Waterbury, CT, to Gisele (Ouellet) Guerrette and the late Harold Guerrette, and grew up in Wolcott, CT where he graduated high school and worked for more than 33 years in his family construction business, Guerrette Home Improvement. Gerald was a caring and devoted son, partner, father and father figure.

He leaves behind his best friend and life partner Tracey Diglio-Nylen, and three daughters, Sotheary, Beverly, and Shirley, as well as his grandson, Avner Crosby. He was a father figure to Tracey’s nephew and niece Gabriel and Gretel Diglio. He is also survived by his mother, Gisele, and three siblings; his brother Bryan Guerrette, his sister Kim Guerette, and her two sons Christopher and Michael, and his sister Gail and her husband Joe (Vitone) and their daughters Leah and Abby.

Gerald was a true gentleman. His kindness, selflessness, and contagious laugh will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Calling hours are Thursday, April 23rd from 4-7 PM at Woodrick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. A funeral Mass with his cremains present will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday April 25th at St. Leo the Great Church/Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 14 Bentwood Dr in Waterbury.
