WOLCOTT - Mr. George Michael McDonald, 73, of Pleasant Street, died at his home with family by his side. He was the husband to Mary Ann Greco McDonald for 50 years.
Born in Waterbury on July 17, 1939 George was the son of the late George M. and Cecilia (Garneau) McDonald. He served in the U.S Air Force for four years. George worked for CL&P as a General Operator and retired. He was a member of St. Pius X Church in Wolcott and a former Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader and member. He also was a former Wolcott Ambulance Volunteer. George was an avid reader, liked to work on crossword puzzles and was great with woodworking.

George is survived by his wife Mary Ann, his sons, Michael of Wolcott, Brian of Marthas Vineyard, his brothers, Raymond McDonald of Wolcott, Francis McDonald of Waterbury, his grandchildren, Stephanie and Nicholas McDonald, Jeremy Corley, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, Andrew Gary LaChance.
