Genero Anthony 'Tony' Cocchiola US Air Force Veteran Enjoyed fishing and hunting WATERBURY- Genero Anthony "Tony" Cocchiola, 96, husband of Louise (Moriconi) Cocchiola and the late Edith (Lundin) Cocchiola, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Waterbury on June 13, 1928, Tony was the son of the late Michael and Carmella (Aloise) Cocchiola. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Tony worked as a toolmaker and retired from Scovill Manufacturing and Century Brass. He was a parishioner of St. Leo The Great Church. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting but his favorite past time above all was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Louise, Tony leaves to cherish his memory his two sons Michael Cocchiola Bruce and his wife Elizabeth Cocchiola, his two daughters Gail and her husband John Varlese, Cynthia and her husband Thomas Betkoski, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife Louises children, Anthony Flammia, David Flammia, John Flammia, Patricia Schaus and Shirley Duckworth. Tony was predeceased by two sisters Mary Biondi and Laura Perin.
