Wolcott Frank Latina, 90, of Wolcott, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 following an extended illness. He was the loving husband of Joan (Sanford) Latina for the past 70 years. Frank was born on June 21, 1930 in Wolcott, son of the late Ralph and Theresa (Fialla) Latina. He served honorably in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and later worked for the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (IUBAC) as a bricklayer for a number of years until his retirement in 1992. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to his yard. Besides his wife Joan, Frank is survived by his nephew, Steve Nigro and his wife Mary; his brother-in-law Robert Sanford Sr., sister-in-laws Jean Bosco and Judith Sanford; nieces Susan Sanford, and Sandra Sanford, and nephew Robert Sanford Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cheshire House for the kindness and care they showed for Frank during his time with them. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. All attendees are asked to please wear a mask or face covering and to follow proper social distancing guidelines.
