Mr. Francis "Buddy' 'Moose" Maturo

Waterbury - Francis G. Maturo, 67, known to everyone as "Buddy' or
'Moose", passed away on April 19, 2013 with his family at his side after a
long illness. He was the husband to Jeanne (Marshall) Maturo for 42 years.
Buddy was born November 4, 1945 in Waterbury to the late George and
Jean (DeCola) Maturo. He retired from IBEW local 488 as an electrician.
Among Buddys hobbies were riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and playing
cribbage with his children. He loved picnics in the fall at Mount Tom with
his family. He always said, "The best four days of his life were when his
children were born". Buddy was deeply proud of each one of them.
The family would like to acknowledge the caregivers across the state,
throughout the past thirteen years, for the support and compassion they
have provided to Buddy and his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne, his children, Kristen,
John, Dana Taylor and her husband Jason of Waterbury, Thomas Maturo of
Groton, a sister, Rosalie Bowler of Waterbury and many beloved friends.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 23, from 4-8pm at Woodtick
Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. In lieu of flowers or Mass cards, the
family request memorial contributions are made in his name to: RPMC
Building Fund, 2627 Thomaston, Ave., Waterbury 06704.
