Waterbury ~ Frances A. (Poskas) Noreika, 98, of Waterbury passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital Vitas. She was the widow of John A. Noreika. Mrs. Noreika was born June 19, 1913 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Paul and Demincella Poskas. She retired from Sherwood Medical after 19 years of service. Frances enjoyed swimming, crocheting and playing cards. She loved being with children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves her daughter, Judy Noreika of Waterbury, her extended family, including Sally Wood and Helen Holland, her extended grandchildren, John Wood, Jr., Michele Crocett, Charles Wood, Alina and Jaylin Holland, Rachel Perkins, Tysean, Princess and Synyra Fareed. She also leaves several great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. All services are private.
