Obituary

Wolcott Mrs. Frances (Summa) Haines, 88, passed away on Saturday morning, January 20, at Vitas Innovative Hospice. She was the widow of Henry Haines. Frances was born June 22, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Donato and Domencia (Ferrare) Summa. She had been employed at the Waterbury Companies and worked in inventory control until her retirement. An avid bowler, she was a member of the Friday night league for many years at Perillos Bowl-O-Drome. She was an active member of the Wolcott Senior Center and volunteered at St. Marys Hospital in the pharmacy department for 22 years. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Charles, Francis, Joseph, Carl, Rocco, William and Catherine. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 11:00 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Church, Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with Francess family from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday morning at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
