ORLANDO, FL ~ Mrs. Felicita Planas, 76, passed away on December 29, 2013 with family at her side. She was the wife of Roberto Medina and formerly they resided in Waterbury. Felicita was born November 22, 1937 in Arus, PR, daughter of the late Dimas Planas and Luciana Gonzalez-Rivera. She was a former member of St. Cecilia Church in Waterbury. Her family will always remember her for her love of finding a tag sale, gardening, fishing, watching novelas, scary movies or sci-fi movies, cooking for the family and hearing about her frequenting the casino. No one will ever forget how much she loved to decorate for Christmas especially with her lights. Felicita was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed tremendously. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Morales of Waterbury, Maritza Rivera of Bristol, Felicita Medina of Waterbury, Roberto Medina Jr. of Florida, her brothers and sisters, Delma Medina, Miguel Ortiz, Pedro Gonzalez, Irma Gonzalez, Marcelo Gonzalez, her grandchildren, Ramon, Michael and Elizabeth Morales, Jose Velez, Jeanette Cruz, Jorge and Nitza Rodriguez, Jessica and Maritza Rivera, Carlos, Fernando and Giovani Torres, Carlos Carmona, Emely Medina, Roberto Medina III, Delma Medina, Aaron Barkasey, thirty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Hilda Gonzalez and Sonia Planas, and a great grandson Joseph Cortez. ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
