EVELYN PADAIGAS WOLCOTT ~ Evelyn (Evon) Padaigas, 85, formerly of Wolcott passed away on Wednesday, February 24th at Meridan Manor. She was the widow of John Padaigas. Mrs. Padaigas was born October 21, 1924 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Napoleon and Emma (Bellemare) Evon. She retired from Helical after 20 years of service. She leaves her son, Nicholas Pietroniro and his wife Sherri of Wolcott, her sister, Doris Nihan of Thomaston, and her grandchildren, Ashley, Brittni, and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Leo the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral from 9:30 until the time of the service.
