WATERBURY ~ Eugene Vaiskauckas, 82, of Waterbury passed away on Sunday, September 19th at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Maria (Trivellato) Vaiskauckas. Mr. Vaiskauckas was born May 8, 1928 in Waterbury, son of the late John and Joan (Roger) Vaiskauckas. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Free Territory of Triest. Eugene enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved music and played the guitar. He retired from CL&P after 18 years of service. He leaves his wife, Maria of 61 years, his sons, Gary and his wife Nancy of Cary, N.C. and Steven of Waterbury, and his grandchildren, Erin and Scott. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will follow in Bucks Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the donors choice.
