TERRYVILLE ~ Ernest L. Belisle, 73, of Terryville passed away on July 31, 2012 at Vitas Innovative Care at St. Marys Hospital. He was the widower of Velma (LaFerriere) Belisle. Mr. Belisle was born November 24, 1938 in Bristol, son of the late Leo and Margaret (Ducharme) Belisle. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. Ernest retired from Wire and Plastic Co. after 10 years of service. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. He had a fondness for elephants and baseball caps, continuingly adding to his collection over the years. He leaves his daughters, Elaine Brown and Nadine Scully of Waterbury, Donna Mierwald of Reader, W. VA, his sister, Diane LaFerriere of Oakville, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Martarelli and his son, David LaChance. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
