TERRYVILLE- Mr. Eric John Parsons, 30, formerly of Wolcott, passed away on December 25, 2013 while surrounded by family. Eric was born on January 29, 1983, son of Denise M. (LaMadeleine) Parsons of Wolcott and the late Richard J. Parsons. He grew up in Wolcott, and graduated from Wolcott High School, Class of 2001. Eric was a heavy equipment operator and worked for many years in the construction business. He enjoyed camping with his friends, listening to music, playing the guitar, golfing, fishing, boating, and was so mechanically inclined that he could fix anything without challenge. In his younger years, he was also involved with Cub/Boy Scouts and acted as Crew Chief at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. Eric also loved his German Shepard, Trooper. Eric will be sadly missed by his mother Denise of Wolcott, his brother David Parsons of Athens Greece, Godparents Joan and Timothy Callahan of East Morris, Uncles Robert James Parsons of Geneva Switzerland and Donald LaMadeleine of Florida, Aunts Diane Collington of Rhode Island and Christine Parsons of Wolcott, his Godchild Karlee, and his four cousins Jason, Ryan, Michael and James, and all of his friends. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 5 to 8pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, CT. A funeral will be held Monday from Woodtick Memorial to arrive at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St. Plantsville, for a Mass at 11:30am. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
