WOLCOTT ~ Emily (Conte) DiLonardo, 89, of Wolcott passed away peacefully on May 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was the widow of Anthony N. DiLonardo. Mrs. DiLonardo was born March 12, 1923 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Fasano) Conte. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High. She had been employed at Uniroyal Shoe Hardware Division. She was well known for her cooking and baking creations, especially her Easter "bunny cookies". She enjoyed the beach, her many motor trips, and spending time with her family. Mrs. DiLonardo was a devout Catholic and watched the daily televised Celebration of the Eucharist. She was a member of All Things New Prayer Group at St. Peter and Paul Church. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church and St. Michaels Prayer Line. She leaves her son, Anthony L. DiLonardo and his wife, Deborah of Wolcott, with whom she made her home, her daughter, Rosemary LaPan of Watertown, her grandchildren, Dawn and Christina DiLonardo of Waterbury, Anthony L. DiLonardo, Jr. and his wife Omayra of Wolcott and Rachel DiLonardo, of Wolcott, Staff Sgt. Jason LaPan and his wife Miriam of Ft. Benning, GA, and Michelle LaPan of Beckley of West VA, great grandchildren; Breanna and Natalia DiLonardo of Wolcott, Dominic, Jaron and Jenna Rose Panossian of Beckley, West Virginia, and Amalia LaPan of Ft. Benning, GA, a brother, Carmine Conte and his wife, Caroline of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ernest and Benjamin Conte, Josephine Parziale and Adeline DAlessio. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:45 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Michael Church for a funeral mass at 10 am, followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
