Wolcott - Ms Eleanor M. McVerry, 86, died on Friday, June 19, at Autumn Lake of Bucks Hill in Waterbury. Eleanor was born September 15, 1928 in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Clara (Thompson) McVerry. She retired as an inspector at Waterbury Buckle after 35 years. An active parishioner of St. Pius X Church, she had been a member of the Rosary Society, the Ladies Guild and was active in organizing the St. Patricks Day dinner at the church. She is survived by four great nieces, one great nephew and seven grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Peter and John Allen McVerry. Arrangements: A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The arrangements are in the care of Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott.
