EDGAR J. JACKSON
WOLCOTT ~ Edgar J. Jackson, 88, of Wolcott passed away on January 12 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Madeline (Scarino) Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was born January 15, 1920 in Waterbury, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Henzie) Jackson. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He attended the University of Vermont and finished his studies at the University of Connecticut. He was a longtime employee of Webster Bank, serving as auditor/vice-president. He retired in 1988. Edgar was an avid reader and spent many hours as a volunteer for Literacy Volunteers in Waterbury. He was a fan of the UConn Huskies, but his passion in life was the love and devotion to his wife, Madeline and his daughter, Sandra.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves his daughter, Sandra Fedus and her husband, Robert of Colchester, his brother, Richard Jackson of Sun City Center, FL, and his five grandchildren, Bridgette Duvall, Carolyn, Robert (Jr.), Brittany, and Eric Fedus, his great grandson, Christopher Duvall, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16 at 9:30 from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 11 am. Burial will follow in Old St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
