WOLCOTT ~ Dorothy M. (Brooks) Lecours, 74, of Wolcott passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital. Dorothy was born December 1, 1938 in Meriden, daughter of the late Lester and Emily (Ballard) Brooks. She retired in 2011 from Microtech of Cheshire after 30 years of service. Dorothy was a member of the Wolcott Congregational church for over 35 years. Her greatest joy was her family and the many hours she shared with them. Dorothy leaves her children, Kelly Flynn and her husband, Henry of Wolcott, Leeann Gardner and her husband Robert of Wolcott, Roger Lecours and his wife, Carrie of Wolcott, and Joseph Lecours and his wife, Diane of Cheshire, her sister, Janice McSwyny and her husband, Dale of Wolcott, her brother, Philip Brooks and his wife, Sharron of Prescott, AZ , eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Brooks. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the Wolcott Congregational Church, 185 Center St., Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will take place in the spring. Friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm.
