Wolcott - Doris M. Gray, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving Family and her beloved dog, Lakota, on Monday, September 12, 2016. She was the loving wife of Lester L. Gray. Doris was born in New Haven, CT, on March 1, 1934 to the late James and Grace (Varneau) McMahon. Doris was an avid horse lover and spent many years caring for her own. She also loved German Shepherds, especially her dog Lakota, who will miss her dearly. Including her husband of 64 years, Doris is survived by her sons, Gary Gray, and his wife, Lisa, of Simsbury; James E. Gray, of Wolcott; and John Gray, of Waterbury; her grandchildren, Jaimie Gray; Jeff Hoyt; Danielle Vincent; Jennifer Gray; Tammy Gray; John Gray; LindsayJo Gray; Brandon DeAngelis; Jordan DeAngelis; Jonathan Gray; her 13 great-grandchildren; and extended family. She was predeceased by her brother, James McMahon. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral home service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will be private.
