Donna Rice Loving wife, mother, and grandmother WOLCOTT- Mrs. Donna (Litke) Rice, 75, beloved wife of Geoffrey Rice, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday August 25, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Waterbury on May 1, 1949, Donna was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lois (Bickford) Litke. Donna was formerly employed at Waterbury Hospital and the Arthritis Center in Waterbury. For many years, Donna was a member of the Junior Womens Club of Wolcott. Most of all Donna loved her family. Hosting holidays family gatherings and trips to the beach including Cape Cod and her second home in South Carolina were her favorite past times. In addition to her husband Geoff of 50 years, she leaves her daughter Jennifer and her husband Alexander Szabados, her son Justin and his wife Stefanie Rice her four grandchildren Madelyn and Lucas Rice, Bryson and Logan Szabados her brother Ronald Litke and nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her sister Barbara Paonessa. Donnas family would like to thank everyone at the Harold Leever cancer Center for their compassionate and professional care over the last 5 years. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Thursday August 29th at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
