Wolcott Dennis Paul LeVasseur, 74, of Wolcott, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Wolcott View Manor. He was the husband of 50 years to Helen (Norman) LeVasseur. Dennis was born on June 23, 1943 in Waterbury, son of the late Daniel Sr., and Loretta (Ouellette) LeVasseur. Dennis worked as a machine operator at AMF Alcort in Waterbury and more recently at Oxford General Industries in Prospect retiring in 2009 after 15 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Michaels Church and a former member of the Naugatuck Elks Club. Dennis enjoyed tag sales and spending time with his loving family. Besides his wife, Dennis is survived by his three daughters, April Soria and her husband Al of Thomaston, Angel LeVasseur of Wolcott, and Crystal LeVasseur of Canaan; two brothers Leslie "Bob" LeVasseur, Sr. of Waterbury, and John LeVasseur of Wolcott; a sister Carol Martelli of Wolcott; two grandchildren Alex and Andrew Soria; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Linda Dumond. Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
