DENIS Y. DESAULNIERS PRESIDENT ~ ALDEN CORP. WOLCOTT ~ Denis Y. Desaulniers, 48, of Wolcott passed away on Thursday April 22nd at St. Marys Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Victoria (Barnes) Desaulniers and the adored father of Nicholas, Erica and Danielle. Denis is survived by his parents, Yvon and Lorraine (St. Hilaire) Desaulniers, his brothers of Wolcott, David (Beverly Byers), Donald (Maria Della Camera) and Dale (Richard Beuter) of Boynton Beach Fl, his sister, Doris (Peter Bergamo) of Litchfield, his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Modell and his father-in-law, Robert Barnes of St. Petersburg, FL, his sister-in-law, Julie (Joe Chironno) of Clearwater, FL, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Denis was predeceased by his sister, Donna. Denis was generous to a fault and loved by everyone he came in contact with. He was a member of St. Pius X Church and served as a member of the St. Pius X Parish Council. Denis was President of Alden Corporation and Vice-President of Devon Precision Industries. He was a past president of the Exchange Club of Wolcott. Denis volunteered for numerous organizations over the years and enjoyed coaching sports and watching his daughters compete in dance competitions. Denis loved to travel for business and for leisure. He covered 48 states and numerous countries, both in Asia and Europe, with Hawaii being his favorite. He graduated from Holy Cross High School, received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Hartford and his Masters Degree from Central Connecticut State University. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott on Sunday from 2 to 7 pm.
