Wolcott Deborah Ann Rogers-Sambrook, 54, passed away at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Frank Sambrook. Deborah was born on June 7, 1963 in Waterbury, daughter of Walter "Bud" and Mary (Macdonald) Rogers. Deborah will always be remembered as a peacekeeper, nurturer and "mother hen" who always put others first. She loved to travel, especially to the Midwest and Cape Cod; and visit her favorite beaches, Newport Beach in California and Clearwater Beach in Florida. Deborah also enjoyed riding with her husband on their American motorcycle through the Western Mountains. Besides her husband and parents, Deborah is survived by her two sons, Mark and Joey DeFusco; two sisters, Kim Nadeau and her husband Nathan, and Patty Gentile and her husband Ray; her goddaughter Katelyn Savage; godson Andrew Grosky; her sister-in-law Darlene Rogers; her cousins Tracy Dionne and Annmarie Sajdak who assisted in her care; and several other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Rogers. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 17, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18 , at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maria Goretti Church 1300 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
