WOLCOTT ~ David A. Loomis, 52, of Wolcott passed away at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. David was born April 4, 1960 in Owosso, Michigan, son of the late Paul and Rita (Schuller) Loomis.
David was born an angel who gave love to his family during his lifetime. He was a natural swimmer and he participated in the Special Olympics and the Wolcott Special Games where he earned numerous medals which he was very proud of. He enjoyed duckpin bowling and playing the harmonica. He loved entertaining everyone, especially at Christmas and his birthday. He brought joy, love and laughter to everyone he met. He was a fan of super heroes, especially Spiderman and The Hulk and would imitate their gestures. David enjoyed comic books. Christmas was a favorite time of the year for him and when he was told that Christmas was coming; his favorite saying was "Ho! Ho! Ho! David enjoyed parties, caroling and of course, Santa Claus.
David is survived by his siblings, Catherine Loomis of Branford, William Loomis and his wife, Debra of Branford, Julia Loomis of Branford and Timothy Loomis and his wife, Sheryl of Santa Cruz, CA. and his friends at New Life Foundations.
The family extends a special thank you to Lou DeSerio for providing Davids haircuts over the years and to Rose and everyone at the Branford Card Shop for their thoughtfulness.
