DAVID P. FIRMANI, SR. WOLCOTT ~ David P. Firmani, Sr., 74, of Wolcott passed away on Friday, September 4th at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Marguerite (Russo) Firmani. Mr. Firmani was born September 11, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Beneditto and Lydia (Castagna) Firmani. He had owned and operated Daves Service Center in Wolcott for over 40 years. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. David was a past president of the Pop Warner Football Association. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards. He was a kind and gentle person and adored his wife, children and grandchildren. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves his sons, David Jr. and his wife Linda of Farmington, Dennis of Wolcott, Glenn and his wife Ann of Wolcott, his daughter, Marcia of Shorewood, WI, his sister, Angela Welch and her husband, William of El Paso, TX, and his grandchildren, Michael, Laura and Megan Firmani. He was predeceased by his sister, Vivian DElia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 am from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O.
