Waterbury ~ Daniel Joseph Emond, 54, also known as Freddy, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, June 8, 2012. He was the son to Yvon Emond of Wolcott and the late Jeannine (Bouchard) Emond.
Daniel was born on August 13, 1957 in Fort Kent, Maine and grew up in Lac Baker N.B. Canada until his family moved here in 1966. He attended Waterbury Schools and worked for fourteen years at Sikorsky and then ten years at ValCourt Construction. Dan was a former member of the Franco-American club in Waterbury. He loved to visit with his family and have a great time he also liked to ride motorcycles, dancing and socializing with his friends. Dan will be remembered for the help he had given to his friends and neighbors. He spoke of his close friend Brian often, who was there for him in many ways and predeceased him.
Dan will be sorely missed by his family, he is survived by his father, four sisters, Lee Ann Grimm and her husband Paul of Maryland, Yvonne Augur and her husband Brian of East Haven, Line Johnson and her husband Stephen of Waterbury, Liette Bouchard of Waterbury, ten nephews and nieces, eight great nephews and nieces as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins mostly from Canada. Besides his mother, Jeannine, he was also predeceased by a brother in law, Jimmy Bouchard.
