CONCETTA "CONNIE" RINALDI WOLCOTT ~ Concetta "Connie" S. Rinaldi, 82, of Wolcott passed away on January 16th at Whitney Manor in Hamden surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Anthony V. Rinaldi, Sr. Mrs. Rinaldi was born February 19, 1927 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Salvatore and Vicenza (Bombacci) Sampieri. She has lived in Wolcott since 1954 and was a member of St. Pius X Church. Connie was proud of her Sicilian heritage and enjoyed genealogy, the opera, cooking, gardening and traveling. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years and a member of the CHA-RUM-BA Dance Club. For several years, Connie and her husband operated Connie & Tonys Luncheonette in Waterbury. She leaves her sons, Joseph and his wife, Joan of Harwinton, Robert of Waterbury, Stephen and his wife, Danielle of Plymouth, Richard and his wife, Lucia of Wolcott and Anthony, Jr., and his partner, Lyn Sheeler of Wolcott, his sister, his brother, Philip Sampieri of Bridgeport, his sister, Valeria Berardi and her husband, Louis ofWaterbury, and his grandchildren, Kristin, Jessica, Philip, and Stephanie. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery, Wolcott. Woodtick Memorial is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimers Resource Center of CT, Inc., 1261 South Main St., Plantsville, CT 06479.
