WATERBURY ~ Concepcion Torres-Ramos, 76, of Waterbury passed away at home on August 17, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Hildo Vargas. Concepcion was born September 17, 1934 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Torres and Concepcion Ramos. She was devote to her God and spent many hours in prayer. She loved to listen to music and was an avid reader. Her passion was her family and spending time with them. She leaves her daughters, Marlin Vargas Torres, Ivonne Vargas Torres, and Johanna Vargas Torres, all of Waterbury, Elsie Vargas Torres and Mayra I. Vargas Torres, both of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and Hilda Vargas Torres of FL, her sons, Roberto Vargas Torres of Ponce, P.R., Freddie and Hildo Vargas Torres, both of Waterbury, and Yan K. Vargas Torres of Florida, her sisters, Elsie Morales of GA and Gladys Torres of FL, her brother, Juan Torres of Ponce, P.R., several grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
