Claire (Lafreniere) Giroux, 74, of Waterbury, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was the wife of the late Philippe Giroux. Claire was born on May 25, 1942, in St. Mathieu, Quebec, Canada, to the late Wilbrod and Therese (Arvisis) Lafreniere. Claire is survived by her four sons, Daniel Giroux, of Pennsylvania; David Giroux, of Bantam; Darren Giroux, of Waterbury; and Steven Giroux, of Shelton; her daughter, Michelle Giroux, of Plymouth; her brothers, Gilles Lafreniere, of Thomaston; Claude Lafreniere, of Waterbury; and Richard Lafreniere, of Waterbury; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and extended family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of Saint Anne, 515 S. Main Street, Waterbury, on Wednesday, June 22, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. There are no calling hours. Please meet directly at church.
