WOLCOTT ~ Christy Parragona, 84, of Wolcott passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21st d at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Marie (Rizzo) Parragona. Christy was born March 1, 1926 in Arlington, MA, son of the late James and Theresa (Cavallo) Parragona. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a member of the D.A.V. He retired in 1988 from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years of service. Christy enjoyed traveling and walking the beaches as well as many trips to the casino. He loved life and was a devoted grandfather. Besides his wife, Marie of 69 years, he leaves his daughters, Christine Fitzpatrick of Wolcott and Deneen Parragona of Malden, MA, his sisters, Mary Mason of Everett, MA and Edna Amorin of Woburn, MA, his three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 10 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial with military honors will follow at the State V.A. Cemetery in Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 am until the time of the service.
