WATERBURY- Christine (Lofgren) Traonetti, wonderful wife of Michael Traonetti for the last 38 years, passed away peacefully at the VITAS unit is St. Marys Hospital on Tuesday Nov. 7th. Chris was born in Philadelphia 68 years ago. She was the daughter of Harold and Sandra (Stevenson) Lofgren. The Lofgrens settled in Wolcott in the early 1960s and have owned businesses including North End Package where Chris worked with her mother. She eventually retired from Macys in the Brass City Mall when they closed that location. Chris was a graduate of Wolcott High School and Tunxis Community College. She loved the beach, animals, cross word puzzles Soduko, watching old movies and reading. She was a warm and kind person that will be sincerely missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Michael, she leaves her sister Susan Lofgren and her husband James Levandowski, her brother James and his wife Cindy Lofgren, her niece Kaitlyn, nephews Ryan and David Lofgren. Her dog Indy must also be included as well. Michael and Chris family would like to thank the caring staff at VITAS for helping them through this difficult time.
