Wolcott Charmaine Duby, 94, passed away on Monday, February 21, at Southington Care Center with family by her side, after a brief illness. Charmaine was born in Waterbury on November 30, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Nadeau) Duby. Charmaine was married to the late John Muccino and lived in Wolcott until the early 70s. She had worked for the Department of Children and Youth Services until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, writing in her diary and reading her bible, which was a gift from her daughter Cheryl. She was very proud of her 40 years in AA and the many friends she had there. She also cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, Mark Muccino of Fairfield, Brett Muccino and his wife Ellen, with whom she made her home in Wolcott, Charmaine Masters and her husband Steven of Williamstown, MA, Cheryl Heywood of Etowah, NC and John Muccino, Jr of Kansas City, KS; her grandchildren, Matthew (Christine) Muccino, Andrew (Jill) Muccino, Kelly (Eric) Plourde, Melissa Heywood, Corey (Stuart) Masters-Brown, Jesse Masters, Tyler (Shelbye) Masters, Daniel Muccino, Jackson Muccino; her great grandchildren, Emily, Noah, Sophia, Delaney, Eric, Jr, Norah, Callen and Kai and two step great-grand children, Matthew and Jasmine Brown. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Fred Heywood and daughter-in-law Cyd Leone. Her family will be forever grateful to the caregivers at Southington Care Center for their comfort and loving care given to Charmaine. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, at 1:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Friends may visit with Charmaines family from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
