With our hearts broken, we announce the peaceful passing of Charlotte (Finke) Geary, 89, on Thursday February 12, 2026 at her home in Wolcott. She was the wife of the late Carl “Alan” Geary.
Born in Waterbury on September 13, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Wallace and Harriet (Gahan) Finke. Charlotte had a creative spirit and a generous heart. She found great joy in refinishing furniture and sewing for her children when they were young. She loved to cook and always looked forward to entertaining family and her cherished friends, creating a home filled with warmth and love. She took great pride in perfecting her gardens and loved traveling with her husband. Yet above all, she loved to shop — always hoping to find the perfect treasure. She lived life to the fullest and will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Left to carry on her loving legacy are her son Scott A. Geary and his wife Kristen Mathieu-Geary, her daughter Donna Geary-Fortin and her husband Wayne Fortin, her nine grandchildren fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Wallace and his wife Shauna Finke, Normand and Lee Finke.
Charlotte’s family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers for their dedicated and loving service over so many years.
Arrangements: Calling hours are Friday February 20, 2026 from 9:30 to 11 AM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM followed by burial in Old Pine Grove Cemetery.
