Cecile (Bombardier) Albert, 97, passed peacefully away on Jan. 18th, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Albert. She was born in St. Albans, VT to the late Emile and Marie Anne (Menard) Bombardier on December 3rd, 1918 and was sister to the late Gertrude Juneau. Cecile was a homemaker who enjoyed a full life of travel with her husband, including exploring every state in the U.S. During their travels, they fell in love with the desert in Arizona and began spending winters there; Cecile moved there in 2000. Cecile was a skilled crafter, and spent many happy years in Arizona sharing her creations with friends and family. Her art adorns Christmas trees and homes in many states. Cecile returned to Connecticut in 2011 to live with her daughter Priscilla in Wolcott. Her last few years were spent in quiet comfort surrounded by family. Cecile is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Patrick Galvin, Wolcott, CT and Elaine and Michael Megrew of Charlestown, RI. She leaves her 6 grandchildren and spouses, Dr. Thomas and Veronica Galvin of Carlisle, PA, Michael and Shari Galvin of Simsbury, CT, John and Tricia Galvin of Burlington, CT, Sandie and Jon Swanson of Andover, CT, Karley Megrew of Miami, FL and Chad and Sara Megrew of Charlestown, RI. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her many caretakers for their loving care both for her and the support they showed us as a family over the last couple of years. We would also like to thank Hartford Healthcare for making her final days comfortable during her hospice care. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
