Wolcott Mrs. Carolyn (LeVasseur) Martelli, 79, of Wolcott, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Mr. Louis Martelli, Sr. Carolyn was born on July 19, 1938 in Millinocket, Maine, daughter of the late Daniel and Loretta LeVasseur. Carolyn attended St. Marys and Driggs Grammar Schools and Wilby High School. She was employed at Bradlees in Waterbury for a number of years before her retirement. Carolyn was known by everyone to do everything; she especially enjoyed gardening and making all things beautiful. She was very crafty, and loved to knit and crochet. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Louis, Carolyn is survived by her children, Tina Saturno and her husband Edward of Wolcott, Steven Martelli of Arlington, VA, and Louis Martelli Jr. and his wife Kristine of Waterbury; seven grandchildren, Kristi, Kate, Kayla, Anthony, Zoe, Jason, and Kevin; and six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gianna, Elijah, Averee, Noah, and Julian; her brothers Leslie LaVasseur and wife June, and John LaVasseur; and sister in law Helen LaVasseur She was predeceased by her brother Dennis LaVasseur; and her sister Linda Dumond. Calling hours and a brief service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Everyone attending is asked to meet at the cemetery office at 9:45 A.M.
