WATERBURY- Miss Carmen Maria Rodriguez, 46, went to meet her heavenly father on Friday August 10, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was born in Adjuntas, PR on September 1, 1965 to Juan del Carmen Rodriguez and Aurelia (Plaza) Rodriguez.
Carmen will be remembered for her unconditional love for others and devotion to the Catholic church and her family. A religious person, she was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish where she served as catechist and Eucharistic minister. Carmen was an avid collector of antique dolls, admirer of classic television and films, and enjoyed crocheting. She graduated from Kennedy High School and Naugatuck Valley Community College with a degree in Accounting. She was a dedicated employee of Roald Haestad Inc. in Waterbury for 19 years.
Carmen is survived by her parents, Juan and Aurella Rodriguez of Waterbury, her brothers, Norberto Rodriguez, Basilio Rodriguez, Nicholas Rodriguez, Pedro Rodriguez, as well as her sisters Maribel Mendez, Marisol Rodriguez, Janet DiPino, Ida Gonzalez, Sandra Ramos, Lydia Poventud, Zoraida Velez, Sonia Moyeno, Norma Gomez, Luz Rodriguez, Blanca Rodriguez, and Milagros Perez. Additionally, she is survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews including Alonzo who she loved like a son.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5-8:00pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott.
