Wolcott C. Kenneth Girardin, 74, of Wolcott, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Suzanne (Hungerford) Girardin. Kenny was born on February 11, 1945 in Waterbury, son of the late Leon and Theresa Girardin. Kenny attended local schools and was a graduate of Cheshire High School. After high school, Kenny served honorably in the United States Army. He worked as a foreman at Microtech Inc. in Cheshire for over 40 years until his retirement. Kenny was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting and stock-car racing. He was also a supporter of the New York Yankees and UConn Womens basketball. He also enjoyed watching golf and loved spending time at the beach. Kenny is survived by his son, David Girardin and his partner Jennifer Drexler; his niece Amy Spellman; his nephew Steven Girardin; and his longtime lady friend Annie Hallock. He was predeceased by his brother, Leon Girardin. Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St Pius X Church (St. Basil the Great Parish) 525 Woodtick Rd. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
