With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Brian "BJ" Nadeau on Thursday, December 11, 2025. He passed quietly and peacefully at his home on the lake in Wolcott.

For the past 36 years, April (Gallant) Nadeau was his devoted wife and best friend. Brian was born in New Britain on July 3, 1961, the son of Helen (Jackopsic) Nadeau of Southington and the late Roland Nadeau, and was a graduate of Southington High School, Class of 1979.

For many years, Brian and April were the owners of BJ's Downtown Pit Stop in Southington. He was also employed by Levine Auto Parts and, until the time of his illness, worked for Parts Authority.

Brian loved his annual vacations at the Cape and had a lifelong passion for racing and automobiles, especially his Chevy Corvette—often joking that it was his second love. He enjoyed spending time on the lake boating and jet skiing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was well known for his great sense of humor and quick wit and could always be counted on to bring a smile to those around him. He also took great pride in working in his yard and keeping his lawn meticulously maintained. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his sons, whom he loved deeply.

In addition to his wife April, Brian is survived by his sons, Brian Nadeau and his partner, Brianne, and Justin Nadeau. He also leaves his brother, Scott Nadeau; his nephew, Jason Nadeau, and his wife, Maritza, and their children, Alyssa and Jacob; and his nephew and godson, Cote Nadeau, and his children, Carson and Caiden.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Brian's Life on Thursday December 18th from 4 to 7 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
