Beverly Payne
loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother
WOLCOTT- Mrs. Beverly (Cooke) Payne, 80, devoted wife of Alvin "Buzz" Payne passed away on Thursday February 15th at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Catskill, NY on April 1, 1943, Beverly was the daughter of the late Claude and Alice (Eichler) Cooke and graduated from WAJ High School in Windham, NY. Beverly and Buzz have lived in Wolcott since 1964 and were members of Wolcott Congregational Church. She worked for JLT Services (U.S.A.).
Beverly loved lighthouses and flowers but most of all she loved her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her caring for her family and friends and her Savior Jesus Christ. She prayed every day for the people she knew and loved. We all were blessed by her that way. She was always ready for a laugh and good fun times with everyone she knew. She enjoyed the trips we made over the years across country and other places. We had great times over the years.
In addition to her husband Alvin of 60 years, left to carry on her loving legacy are her son Scott and his wife Lori Payne, her daughters Laurie and her husband David Carter, Jennifer and her husband Claude Gauvin, her brother Timothy Cooke, her seven grandchildren Kimberly Payne, Christina Allen, Justin Gauvin, Andrew Gauvin, Owen Gauvin, David Carter Jr., and Jessica Carter, her seven great-grandchildren, Ariana, Aiden, Hailey, Caleb, Karson, Wyatt and Blaine, and two nephews, Tim and Adam
Beverlys family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. They are fantastic. The most caring caregivers we ever encountered.
