Naugatuck Bernice M. (Salisbury) Niro, 76, of Naugatuck, passed away on February 10, 2020 at Beacon Brook Healthcare in Naugatuck. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony A. Niro who predeceased her in 2000. Bernice was born on September 1, 1943 in South Portland, Maine, daughter of the late Leslie and Claire (Pelletier) Salisbury. Bernice was a an active member of the Calvary Chapel Naugatuck and Naugatuck Senior Center, loved arts and crafts, dancing, the beach, and watching professional wrestling. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving family. Bernice is survived by her daughters, Christine Niro Sparso and her husband Francis, and Dawn Niro Minutolo and her husband Christopher; her grandson, Christopher Minutolo Jr.; her brother Denis Salisbury; her sister, Rosemarie Sirois; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Christensen. Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
