BERNADINE "Bunny" BRADE
WATERBURY ~ Bernadine "Bunny" (Flanagan) Brade, 88, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16th at Wolcott View Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was the widow of John Brade.
Mrs. Brade was born November 11, 1920 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Henry and Nellie (Barto) Flanagan. She was a former member of the Sacred Heart Church Altar Society and enjoyed traveling.
She leaves her sons, John E. Brade of Wolcott and Kenneth Brade of Plymouth, her sisters, Joyce Welch of Thomaston, and Bernice Shea of Northfield, her brother, Roger Delisle of Naugatuck, her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Flanagan of Thomaston and Alma Modenese of Wolcott, her grandchildren, Pamela Brade, Darlene Chadeayne, Melanie Astle, Jason and Jennifer Brade, her great grandchildren, Hannah and Evan Chadeayne and John Astle, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Maria Goretti Church for a funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Wolcott View for the care and concern they provided for Bernadine.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
