MRS. BEATRICE M. RICARD PARISHIONER OF ST. PIUS X CHURCH WOLCOTT ~ Mrs. Beatrice M. (Smart) Ricard, 84 of Wolcott passed away at her home on Sunday, February 12, 2012. She was the wife of Wilfred "Ricky" Ricard. Mrs. Ricard was born February 4, 1928 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Edmond and Rella (Pelletier) Smart. She retired from the Menagerie Gift Shop after 20 years of service and was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling with "The Gang". She adored her family, especially her grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Besides her husband, Ricky, she leaves a son, Wayne Ricard of Waterbury, a daughter, Linda Ricard of Wolcott, a brother, Norman Smart of Naugatuck, a sister, Doris Sargeleski of TX, 4 granddaughters, and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8 am on Thursday at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a funeral mass at 9. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waterbury.
