BEATRICE BECK
WATERBURY ~ Beatrice (LeBlanc) Beck, 99 of Waterbury passed away on Monday, March 9th at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Edwin J. Beck.
Mrs. Beck was born March 29, 1909 in Middlebury, daughter of the late George and Rosa (Veillette) LeBlanc. She retired from Waterbury Companies after 50 years of service. She attended the Shrine of St. Anne and was a past treasurer of the Conseil Villa Maria. She was a past president and treasurer of the Waterbury Naturalist Club, past president of the Family Association of Meridian Manor, a member and past treasurer of the Plan of Connecticut, past president and treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes, and past treasurer and member of the American Business Women Association. Mrs. Beck served on the board of directors of the Prospect Drum Corps and was a member of the Teikyo Post Tax Institute.
She leaves her daughter, Edwina Mahaney of Waterbury with whom she made her home and her grandchildren, Timothy, Brian, Julie, David and Christopher Mahaney. She also leaves four great grandchildren, T.J., Brianna, Tyler, and Ayden. Her grandchildren will lovingly remember her forever as Ama.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 South Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. has been entrusted with her arrangements.
