Obituary

We sadly announce the passing on Saturday June 27th of a wonderful man Armand Pelletier, at the age of 92. Armand was the beloved husband and best friend Marie Arlene (Charette) Pelletier and they would have been married for 68 years on July 26th.

Armand was born in St. John, Maine on February 12, 1934, son of the late Aurell and Nellie (Pelletier) Pelletier. He earned an Elementary Education Degree at the University of Maine. and in 1956 moved to Waterbury, CT. For over 37 years he worked for Pratt & Whitney retiring in 1993. He lived in Wolcott for many years where he helped with the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance and was a parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church. He was active at St. Anne Church in Waterbury where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and bingo worker. He also volunteered at the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen in Waterbury and the Calendar House in Southington. For the last forty years Armand and Arlene have lived in Southington where they have made many friends and enjoyed their retirement.

In addition to his parents, Armand was predeceased by his special great uncle Regis Labbe and his aunt Leanne Labbe who shared his childhood home in Maine and helped in raising him.

Armand’s life will be celebrated on Monday July 6th at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Calling hours begin at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at St. Basil Parish/St. Pius Church in Wolcott at 11 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
