Armand J. Madore
WOLCOTT ~Mr. Armand J. Madore, 80, of Todd Rd. died peacefully while surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital. He was the widow of Bertha (Dumond) Madore.
Mr. Madore was born July 21, 1930 in Fort Kent, ME, son to the late Adelard and Georgianna (Pinnette) Madore. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Wolcott and a member of the American Legion, Post 165, of Wolcott. Armand worked for many years as a machinist for various companies in the local area. When he wasnt working, he enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. In his younger years, Armand had a passion for gardening and entertaining friend and family.
Armand will be missed by his sons, Robert and his wife Kimberly Madore of Odenton, MD, Ronald and his fianc, Robin Seeley of Wolcott, his daughters, Linda Martin and her husband Frank of Waterbury, Monica DiLeo and her husband Angelo of Waterbury, three grandchildren, Melissa Roy, Steven Martin, Catherine Stone, five great grandchildren, Joshua and Emily Roy, Steven and Shea Martin, Aria Stone, his brother, Richard Madore, his sisters, Mrytle Ouellette, Hazel Gammons, and Mary Ouellette, and many nieces and nephews. Armand was predeceased by a son, Brian and brother, Nelson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:00 from the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, to St Pius X Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am with entombment to follow in the Garden Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday.
